Dr. Angela Miller is a clinical health psychologist who provides treatment for children, adolescents, and adults. She is credentialed as a National Register Health Service Psychologist and practices in the areas of health, rehabilitation, and clinical psychology. Dr. Miller uses a variety of approaches in her work to tailor the intervention to the needs of the individual. She uses motivational interviewing, behavioral modification, biofeedback, cognitive-behavioral therapy, brief solution-focused therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy techniques. When needed, testing is incorporated with treatment, and assessments are made in the areas of intelligence, personality, academics, cognitive functioning and AD/HD. Areas of practice include the treatment of mood and anxiety disorders, medical treatment phobias, disability, chronic pain, chronic illness, eating disorders, body image issues, obesity, infertility and pregnancy loss, sleep disorders, adjustment, grief, end-of-life issues, crisis management, substance use, personality disorders, and the evaluation and management of neurocognitive (memory and thinking) changes. She performs pre-surgical evaluations (gastric bypass, spinal cord stimulator, etc.) as well as evaluation of memory problems, decision-making capacity, intellectual and achievement assessments, and personnel selection and consultation to businesses, government and safety forces. Dr. Miller also practices sport psychology and wellness coaching in which she helps individuals/groups improve their athletic performance and communication, manage stress, and adopt healthy behaviors. In addition to clinical work, Dr. Miller is available for public speaking and workshops on a number of health-related topics. She also engages in professional consulting in areas such as integrated healthcare, health policy, program development, and healthcare utilization.

Dr. Miller received her Ph.D. from Kent State University and a Master of Public Health (MPH) from Wichita State University. She completed her internship at West Virginia University School of Medicine/Charleston Area Medical Center and her postdoctoral residency in Clinical Health Psychology/Specialty Medicine at the Louis Stokes Cleveland Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Professional memberships include the American and Ohio Psychological Associations and the Society of Behavioral Medicine. Dr. Miller is committed to continuing education and is currently pursuing a postdoctoral Master of Science degree in Clinical Psychopharmacology.
